Valentine’s Dessert in 15!

A quick yet delicious dessert is the answer for more valuable time together! Create these beauties with my baking paper and sandwich bags in less than 15 minutes.

You will need:

Supa Mama® baking paper
Supa Mama® sandwich bags
500 g large ripe strawberries (long stems are the best and easiest to work with)
250 g chocolate of your choice (dark or milk)
120 g white chocolate (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts – pecans or almonds (optional)

Directions:

    1. Rinse your strawberries well and pat dry. It’s important to ensure they’re completely dry so the chocolate sticks to them.
    2. Line a baking sheet with Supa Mama® baking paper.
    3. If you are using nuts, chop them up and lightly toast them on the stove top or in the oven.
    4. Melt your chocolate, separately if you are using both dark/milk and white chocolate. Chocolate melts best with indirect heat, so use a double boiler pan OR simmer a little water with a heat-safe bowl over it OR microwave the chocolate for 2 minutes (or until melted), stirring every 30 seconds.
    5. Line a baking tray with my baking paper.
    6. Dip your strawberries one by one into the melted chocolate, hold them by their stems and coat them 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up. Allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
    7. If you have nuts, gently roll your strawberries into them right after the chocolate. Then place them onto the baking paper. If you are not using nuts, your berries can go onto the baking paper straight after the chocolate. Enjoy the dessert.

**Do not move or touch them once you’ve placed them down, or you could disturb the lovely chocolate shell.

  1. Place the melted white chocolate into the corner of a Supa Mama® sandwich bag and seal. Cut a very tiny tip off the corner of the bag.
  2. Gently squeeze the white chocolate through the hole in the corner, drizzling the chocolate in a thin stream on top of the chocolate dipped berries.
  3. Once your strawberries are decorated, place them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until the chocolate has set.
