Spring is about fruit and warmth! We are grilling peaches in these grilled peach pack again and it is a hit every time! 🍑🍑🍑

Serves: 4 people

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

You will need:

  • Supa Mama® kitchen foil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 ripe peaches or nectarines
  • 4 tablespoons granola *optional
  • Frozen yogurt or ice cream, to serve

Instructions:

  1. Prepare a grill for medium-high heat, you can use your oven grill or a braai if you would like. Cut four 30cm square pieces of Supa Mama® kitchen foil.
  2. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits.
  3. Mix the sugar, butter, and salt in a small bowl and spoon the mixture into the centres of the peach pits.
  4. Put two peach halves, stuffed side down, in the centre of a piece of foil. Gather up the sides of the foil and crimp the edges tightly to make 4 purse-shaped packets.
  5. Place the foil packets on the grill and cook for 15 minutes, changing the position of the packets on the grill about halfway through. (You can open the packets to check if they are done at any time but be very careful of the steam!)
  6. Once done, remove and let rest for a few minutes.
  7. Carefully open each packet (watch out for the steam) and use a spoon or fork to flip the peach halves over, they should be tender with a caramelized sauce.
  8. Top each serving with 1 tablespoon of granola if desired and a scoop of frozen yogurt or ice cream. I served mine on a board with Supa Mama® baking paper!
